Mapzen is an open-source mapping lab - They build open-source mapping tools and collaborates on open geodata initiatives. 

Open by Mapzen is a proof of concept, meant to show the state of open source mobile mapping tools and open data. For users, it offers a free mobile map application that can run on any Android device (including those without Google Play Services). For developers, the underlying libraries and services represent a fully customizable platform for developing their own location-based applications. 

My role for this project was to design the Android basemap, Logo and POIs for Mapzen
