About me

I design product systems that help people make sense of complex information.
I’m Kate, a Staff Product Designer working across AI-powered products, B2B SaaS, data visualization, media, mapping, and creative technology.

I’m drawn to messy product problems: dense information, unclear workflows, emerging technology, and moments where users need help turning raw data into a decision. I like asking questions, finding the structure underneath the mess, and shaping experiences that feel clear without oversimplifying the system.

Most recently, I’ve been designing AI-powered company intelligence experiences at Crunchbase. My work has focused on AI Company Profiles, prediction credibility, AI Search, browser workflows, onboarding, and monetization systems. A lot of that work comes back to one question: how do you introduce AI into high-trust workflows in a way that users can understand, evaluate, and act on?

Before Crunchbase, I designed products for media, data visualization, mapping, and storytelling. I’ve worked on CMS tools, mobile news apps, content personalization, interactive maps, and data-heavy visual experiences. That mix still shapes how I design today: I care about structure, narrative, visual clarity, and how information feels when people actually have to use it.

My path into product design has always moved between art, code, and storytelling. I studied painting and journalism before earning an MFA in Design + Technology at Parsons, where I focused on creative coding, physical computing, and interaction design.

Outside of work, I’m usually making something: testing visual ideas, experimenting with code, looking at maps, or finding small ways to bring more art and texture into everyday tools.
